A Composite Variable Structure PI Controller for Sensorless Speed Control Systems of IPMSM

In the speed control system of an Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (IPMSM) without a sensor, PI controllers using only fixed set parameters cannot achieve accurate tracking estimated in wide domain and also suffer from step response overshoot. This paper proposes Compound Variable Structure (CVSPI) controller to improve performance. It can choose whether include integral term according size deviation up response. introduces Model Reference Adaptive System (MRAS) observer estimate adaptively adjust anti-integration saturation gain dynamic following performance immunity system. A feed-forward link is added for given input differential answer time-varying inputs. As linear compensation matrix conventional MRAS unit matrix, be accurately observed specific range. this paper, new designed, adaptive law derived, allowing improved measure over range accurately. Simulation results validate excellent CVSPI accuracy enhanced
